We were excited to try this place based on all the positive reviews, but it didn’t live up to our expectations. The pizza was decent, but it was very light on toppings and looked like it had been sitting out for a while. I ordered a sausage pizza, but there was so little sausage that I might as well have ordered plain cheese. Even the cheese pizza we ordered had very little cheese. Overall, it was an underwhelming experience, and we wouldn’t go out of our way to eat here again.

I’ve been to over two dozen pizza places since moving to the Tampa area, and this is hands down the best pizza I’ve had here. I started with a slice and ended up going back for a whole pie. You can really taste the quality ingredients. I’ve already told my friends this is where I’ll be bringing them when they visit. 100% worth the 40 minute drive. Friendly and helpful staff too!

The best New York Pizza anywhere around by FAR. I love everything about their pies but three things stand out: the crust (part sourdough), the meatballs (homemade flavorful), and the house ranch (wish they’d sell it by the quart). Plus you can grab an amazing beer or wine from HBS and soak in all the good vibes.

Amazing pizza--- The sauce, crust and toppings are perfect as is-- but the house ranch elevates the experience. Will definitely order here again. (Also bonus points for making it easy to do 1/2 pizza toppings go accommodate a picky teenager who only likes cheese pizza)

Easily my favorite pizza in town— coming from a girl who usually is a pizza hater! I found Cipolla Rosa last year at one of the local farmers markets. They were serving up personal sized Neapolitan pizzas and while I’m not usually one to pick pizza out at a market with lots of other food options, so many people were carrying around these pizzas that looked so dang good I had to try it! Well one bite was all I needed to understand the hype and became hooked. The flavor was so killer, it was like I could individually taste every ingredient! After that I looked for these little wood fired pies at every market I went to and every single time they were as good as the last! In addition to the wood fired pop up pizza, they also just opened up a permanent location outside of Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe serving New York style pies and slices! It’s the perfect spot to grab a slice then go inside and grab a beer with friends! Josh, the owner, is the heart behind it all. He’s not only incredibly kind and accommodating, but he also makes everything from scratch— the dough, the sauce, the ranch, even the hot honey. You can taste the care in every single bite!!
